Juli (Smith) Schneider
Sidney High School
Class of 2012
Drake University
University of Nebraska - Lincoln
Juli joined our XC family in 8th grade and was a four time State qualifier. Juli placed in the top three all four years at the State Cross Country Meet in Kearney. Juli chose to continue her academic and athletic opportunities at Drake University. She ran at Drake for two years until she chose to transfer to the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Here's what Juli told me about her college running journey:

"Being hurt and struggling with breathing was one of the hardest parts of my running career, especially when you're surrounded by great runners and away from your normal support system. It made me so so grateful for the team and coaching I had in high school. Ending my running career to focus more on school was a HARD decision, but my short college career brought me lifelong friends and taught me that "success" has many definitions. I had to find new non-athletic goals to achieve. Running will always hold a special place in my heart."
